2014 Kawasaki KLX 250S, the New Dual-Purpose Machine
We’re glad to see that riders buy more dual purpose motorcycles, and especially in the light- and middleweight classes. Knowing that a bike which can be as useful on the road as it is fun when off it is simply irresistible, Kawasaki carries on the on-off heritage with the 2014 year model of their KLX 250S.
Being a machine which will go anywhere, the 2014 Kawasaki KLX 250S comes with a fully adjustable fork and the acclaimed adjustable UniTrak progressive-linkage rear suspension. Classic off-road-worthy 21″ and 18″wheels come in the front and rear, respectively and petal rotors provide the needed stopping force.
The low-maintenance 249cc DOHC 4-valve single is fed through a 34mm Keihin carb for massive power output, while the 6-speed manual gearbox is sure to provide all the torque/power combinations for a great time in the saddle of this machine.
With a slender profile which is great for both trail riding and squeezing through the city traffic, the 2014 Kawasaki KLX 250S is also light: it only weighs in at less than 298 lbs (less than 135 kg) and this makes it very nimble and highly maneuverable for a lot of riders.
With modern digital instrumentation and a slightly revised bodywork, the 2014 Kawasaki KLX 250S retains the aggressive headlight design and two-piece KX-type radiator shrouds.
